Ledesma Elementary School is the first new school in the Oak Grove District in
the past 25 years. The site is located high on a plateau overlooking
the Santa Clara Valley. The spectacular view was offset by the
challenge of providing access compliance across the site. The design
program called for mixed building types---classrooms were constructed
from modular units, the Multi-Purpose building with standard construction.
Weston Miles was the District Architect and reresentative designing the site,
interiors, and multipurpose space and monitoring/reviewing the
work of the Architect of Record.
