This year was the trees 4th year in the ground. The Blenheim apricots were much larger this year and more uniform. The French Prunes didn’t split this year like they did the year before and the crop was excellent. After harvesting for drying, about 100 additional pounds of the prunes were donated to St. Josephs. The fig trees were also quite prolific.
We canned 60 1/2 pints of apricot jam, made numerous tarts and really enjoyed eating lots of fresh fruit.
