You really need to blanch and peel the favas first.

The most important thing that I learned last yea from Joe, the prune mento, was…..since the prunes are not treated in any way….moths and their larve also enjoy them, so it is really important to put them in a plastic bag and then directly into the freezer when they are fully ready!
