Located on the original train depot site of Morgan Hill, the new transit center was developed by the City of Morgan Hill Redevelopment Agency as part of the Cal-Train Park and Ride Facility. With ample parking to the right and left, it is the focal point for cars, motorcycles, bicyclists, and pedestrians coming down E Third Street from downtown.

The transit space blends seamlessly with the historical style of downtown Morgan Hill while incorporating function and contemporary elegance. The 1,200 SF project includes a transit information center, ADA accessible restrooms, a snack bar, a clock tower, and 2 large canopies on the north and west side that ensure no shortage of shade and seating for passengers waiting to board the train. The seating extends underneath the trees to allow the building and stream of commuters to comfortably observe the scenery.

The landscaping surrounding the building and across the 1/3 acre site was designed for low maintenance, durability, and drought tolerance to reduce costs for the city.
